The short version
AppLocker has no accounts and does not collect your name, email, or personal profile. Your PIN, vault, and settings stay on your device. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects limited advertising data as described below. This policy applies to both the iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android versions of AppLocker.
What stays on your device
- Your PIN and decoy PIN — on iOS they are stored in the secure Keychain; on Android they are stored only as a salted one-way hash in the app's private storage. In neither case is your PIN transmitted to us.
- Your vault (the app shortcuts you add), custom icons, schedules, and settings.
- Guard Mode alerts and activity logs.
- Intruder photos — if you enable Intruder Selfie, a front-camera photo is captured after repeated wrong PIN attempts and saved only to your own device (your Photos library on iOS, your device gallery on Android). These photos are never sent to us or to any third party.
Advertising
AppLocker is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). To show ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and limited usage and coarse-location data, and may use it to personalize ads and measure performance.
- iOS: on first launch you'll be asked for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). You can decline, and change it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: where required, you'll see a Google consent prompt (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.

Permissions we request
- Biometrics — Face ID / Touch ID on iOS, or fingerprint / face unlock on Android — to unlock your vault. Handled entirely by the operating system; we never receive your biometric data.
- Camera — only for the optional Intruder Selfie feature.
- Photos / storage (add only) — only to save intruder photos to your own device.
- Vibrate (Android) — only so Guard Mode can sound its alarm with vibration.
How the app works
Mobile operating systems do not allow any app to block other apps from opening directly from the Home Screen or app drawer. AppLocker is a private, protected launcher — the shortcuts inside your vault are revealed only after you authenticate. We do not track or monitor which apps you use outside AppLocker.
Children
AppLocker is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
