AdminKit

Overview

AdminKit is a free, privacy-focused tool. We have no accounts and do not collect your name, email, or a personal profile. Your connection profiles, credentials, and settings stay on your device. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob on iPhone and iPad, which collects limited advertising data as described below. The macOS version does not contain ads.

Advertising (iPhone & iPad)

The iOS/iPadOS version is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and limited usage and coarse-location data, and may use it to personalize ads and measure performance.

• On first launch you'll be asked for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency). You can decline, and change it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent form (Google's UMP) before personalized ads are served.

The macOS version contains no ads and no advertising SDK.

Data We Collect

Apart from the advertising data described above (iOS/iPadOS only), AdminKit does not collect personal data, usage statistics, or crash reports. Your connection profiles, credentials, and tool inputs are never sent to us.

Local Storage

Connection profiles (hostnames, usernames, ports) are stored locally on your device. Passwords and private keys are stored exclusively in your device's Keychain and never leave your device unencrypted.

Network Requests

AdminKit only contacts external servers when you explicitly use a feature that requires it. The following third-party services may be contacted:

• ipapi.co — IP geolocation lookups
• dns.cloudflare.com — DNS over HTTPS queries
• speed.cloudflare.com — Speed test downloads/uploads
• crt.sh — Certificate transparency log searches
• webhook.site — Temporary webhook endpoint creation
• shodan.io — Intelligence queries (requires your API key)
• nvd.nist.gov — CVE vulnerability database lookups

No data is sent to these services unless you actively initiate a lookup. AdminKit's own servers are never contacted.

SSH, SFTP & FTP

Connections are made directly from your device to the servers you specify. No traffic is proxied through AdminKit servers. Credentials are stored in the system Keychain and are never transmitted to anyone except the server you are connecting to.

Local Network

Features such as Bonjour Browser, Port Scanner, Wake-on-LAN, and Ping operate on your local network. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

• Network access — Required for all network features
• Local network access — Required for Bonjour Browser and LAN-based tools
• Location Services (macOS) — Required to read Wi-Fi SSID on macOS 12+
• File access — Required for importing/exporting connection profiles and SSH key files
• Serial port (macOS) — Required for USB console connections

No permission is requested beyond what is functionally necessary.

Children's Privacy

AdminKit is a professional tool intended for network administrators and developers. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any revised policy.
