About Frowser

Frowser is a fast, privacy-first web browser for iPhone and iPad. It blocks ads, trackers, and cookies on the pages you visit, offers private (incognito) tabs, a privacy dashboard, bookmarks and history, light/dark themes, and background audio playback. No account or sign-in is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I block ads?

Ad blocking is on by default. You can toggle Block Ads, Block Trackers, Block Cookies, and Fingerprint Protection in Settings. Content blocking applies to the web pages you visit.

How do I open a private tab?

Open the tab switcher and tap the eye (private) button. Private tabs are not saved to your history and are marked with a purple "Private" badge.

How do I see how many ads were blocked?

Open Settings → Privacy Stats to see the number of ads and trackers Frowser has blocked for you.

Does audio keep playing when I lock my device?

Yes. Frowser supports background audio so media keeps playing when your screen is off or you switch apps.

Why does Frowser show its own ads if it blocks ads?

Frowser is free and supported by non-intrusive advertising. Ad blocking applies to the websites you browse — not to Frowser's own support of the app. This keeps the browser free for everyone.

How do I switch between Light and Dark mode?

Go to Settings → Appearance → Theme and choose System, Light, or Dark.

Is my browsing history uploaded anywhere?

No. Your history and bookmarks are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. See the .
